"From Alazani Valley, Kakheti Tbilvino 2020 is excellent value at $16. Produced from 70% Saperavi with the balance in Rkatsiteli, this is a medium sweet red wine from Georgia and a perfect pairing served up lightly chilled with BBQ ribs or mildly-spiced curries. Vibrant with dark plum, red berry, mocha and savoury herb flavours on the palate with great acidity for food. The grapes for this wine spent four days on their skins and then pressed off for fermentation in temperature-controlled tanks (25/27°C). In the late 1990s the Tbilvino Company emerged as an independent wine company and is one of the largest, most awarded producers and exporters of high quality wines from Georgia.
