Chateau des Landes Cuvee Prestige AOC Lussac 2019

«Château des Landes» is family owned with three generations of experience, located right in the heart of the Lussac-Saint-Emilion AOC, 50 km N-E of Bordeaux town.
“Cuvée Prestige” is in fact Vieilles Vignes and crafted from select Merlot grapes grown on the 50 y.o. vines in the best parts of our vineyard. A mixture of white clay and iron oxide rich “crasse de fer” soil and absence of any irrigation, make these old vines work very hard. Only a small quantity is produced, vinified and then aged for 16 months in French oak barrels. The resulting precious wine is consistently rated highly at all competitions.
Enjoy it today, or age ~3 years in your cellar. Serve at 18°C as a meditation wine, or pair with roast game, vegetable dishes with creamy sauces or aged cheese and nuts.
